Publishing a book on Amazon KDP requires more than an attractive cover. Your manuscript, print settings, cover file and product listing need to describe the same edition. Bookvaib helps you prepare these materials; you still review the files and submit them through your own KDP account. Use this workflow to avoid changing one part of the book without updating the others.
1. Decide which edition you are preparing
Start with the reader and the format. A paperback, an ebook and a hardcover are separate editions with different file requirements. For a paperback, decide on the trim size, ink and paper before designing the interior. These choices affect the space available for text and the eventual spine width.
Keep a short project note containing the title, subtitle, author name and planned format. Use the same spelling in the manuscript, cover and listing. Do not use a competitor's author name or misleading keywords to make the book look like a different publication.
2. Finish the interior before sizing the print cover
Use Bookvaib's Interior Formatter to prepare and review your book layout. Check chapter starts, headings, paragraphs, page numbers and any illustrations. Choose margins appropriate for the final page count and whether artwork reaches the page edge. An ebook export is not a substitute for a print-ready paperback interior.
Export the print interior and check its final page count. An estimate based on words is not enough: font size, illustrations and chapter breaks can all change pagination. If you change the interior later, recalculate the cover rather than keeping an outdated spine measurement.
3. Build the cover for the same print settings
Open the KDP Cover Designer with the finished page count, trim size and paper type. A print wrap contains the back cover, spine and front cover in that order. Keep the title and other important elements inside safe areas, and extend background artwork through the bleed area.
If you already have an approved front illustration, use the option that preserves your front instead of generating a replacement. For the final size, compare the result with KDP's official cover calculator and template. A visually convincing preview does not establish that a file meets every print requirement.
4. Review the listing and proof before publishing
Use Niche Research to explore positioning, then check the result against the actual book. Write a description that explains who the book is for and what is inside. Treat research suggestions as ideas to verify, not evidence of demand or a guarantee of sales.
Upload the interior and cover in your KDP account. Review the print preview, inspect any reported issues and order a physical proof when available. Check small text, contrast, gutter space and whether pictures are cut too close to the edge. Bookvaib does not automatically publish the book to Amazon.

- Final interior page count is used for the cover.
- Trim size, ink and paper match in both files.
- Images, margins and bleed have been reviewed.
- The description makes accurate claims about the contents.
- KDP preview warnings have been checked before submission.
Common questions
Can Bookvaib publish directly to Amazon KDP?
This workflow prepares your book materials. You upload and publish them through your own KDP account and remain responsible for reviewing Amazon's current requirements.
Should I make the cover before finishing the manuscript?
You can develop the artwork early, but finalize the print wrap only after the interior page count and print settings are settled.
